This is my first free file post in my new domain! Hope you like the surroundings.
My most popular pin by far on Pinterest is the Set of Four free patterned Backgrounds
I often wonder if, of all the people that have pinned them – has anyone ever used them in a project? Maybe…
So, I thought I’d share what I’ve made with them so far……
Just the one card really! So, I decided it was time to use one of the patterns to make something else so I came up with this little Gift Box.
It’s a large pic but the box is quite small – only about 6cm square (2 1/4 inches) and the pattern part is quite intricate, so I’d recommend you use a nice sharp blade in your machine to cut this out. I lined the box with contrasting coloured squares of card which adds a bit of strength too!
The pattern fits an A4 or letter sized page but you can size it up to about 8cm (3 inches) if you rotate it to fit on 12 x 12 inch card.
Here’s a pic of the box slightly open – I just used a thin trail of glue around the very edge of the contrast squares .
