This file is perfect for Valentines, Weddings or Anniversary projects. I made a cute silver glitter decal for Valentines Day and decorated a little “milk bottle” with it.
I also tested the design in card stock making a gift tag and a Valentines card.
The contact I used for the decal was actually a glittery book covering material – it’s “Back to School” time here in Australia. It cut perfectly so next I made the gift tag from cardstock – this wasn’t as successful: some of the thinner joins between the letter ripped completely in the card stock, hard to tell in the pic but the Top of the L ripped, and the o, v, and e although welded, came apart completely when cutting. Aha! I knew there was a good reason I test cut my designs 😉
So, back to the drawing board and I revised the design to make the skinny bits a little thicker. I test cut the card using the same type of card stock and the cut was pretty good this time………but I should have quit while I was ahead, because then I textured the card and gave my little cupids measles – they’re looking a little spotty now. LOL!
See you again next week 🙂
