I have a couple of Family Birthdays in December so my thoughts have turned from Christmas back to Birthdays recently.
I made up some Personalised wrapping paper for my son and thought I’d share a “how to”. I used Publisher but I’m sure it’s doable in Word or any programme that supports Text Boxes, or even in Photoshop using Layers instead of Text Boxes if you’d prefer that. I got a bit carried away – definitely no chance of him forgetting his name now π
Here’s a close up of his card and the envelope:
Pretty much I’ve stacked 3 transparent text boxes filled with the personalised message using two contrasting fonts – very easy and quick.
Full Instructions are on the pictures below – just click for a larger view.
And if you just want a plain Happy Birthday Wrap with no personalisation – that’s even easier – here’s a Free A4 PDF for you to download. It’s great for small gifts or accents or you can join sheets for a larger wrap.
(Edited to add that if you are reading on a tablet or smart phone the PDF doesn’t show all the layers – Here’s a jpg version instead)
Now, if you are wondering why my design has no colour it’s because I only have a Black Laser Printer here at home so grayscale is my friend πΒ but of course if you’re making your own you can pop in as much colour as you like π
