Free Silhouette Cut Patterns

I love browsing through fonts and that’s exactly what I was doing when I came across this one:  Peoni Patterns Font by Emily Lime. I could immediately see the potential to use this as a cut file for my Silhouette Cameo!
I’d already used wing Ding type fonts as cut files when I made my Fontastic Reindeer Tags so I was excited to find these great patterns in a free font!

I’ve played around with a few letters in the Studio Software and made 4  patterns which I’ve loaded onto one Studio file. They’re 10cm (4 Inches) each and would be great as panels on cards, or with a backing to make gift cards or tags or to use them in scrap booking or gift wrapping. Of course you can edit them some more and resize them as well.

  1. This will come in handy. Not sure how you make them using fonts but they are very pretty. Thank you for sharing.

    • Thanks Lora for visiting.
      I use the Ding Bat type fonts that are already pictures so half the work is done already 🙂 Check out the font in the link above and you’ll see what I mean.
      Then just type the letters (patterns/pics) with the type tool. Then I just added the borders and welded it all together.

  5. These are great Pam and will certainly come in handy…I’ve never attempted using Dingbats but I’m going to check out the font you mentioned above to try and grasp an idea of how you use them. Thank you for sharing…!!

  35. Fab designs. I have been using this font in a graphics programme to make background papers. Never thought of using in my Cammie. Also found dingbat fonts that has basic shapes so you don’t even have to draw them, also found some flowers too, just great.

      Sorry you are having problems. Not sure why your Cameo will not support the file. The files are in Silhouette Studio Format and need the Silhouette Studio Software on your computer which is a free program availalbe here.

    is there any chance you could do some with out a boader for patchwork

    • Hi Patricia,

      When you have the patterns open in the Silhouette Software, you can remove the borders quite easily. Just select the pattern you want, then click un group. then re click on the outside line to remove it.
      If you keep un grouping you can remove or move the individual parts of the designs.
      Hope this helps.

  39. When I click on your link and download the file path just says getsilvered.com, and doesn’t download as a studio file. Am I doing something incorrectly?

  40. Hi Deborah,
    I’ve just double checked and they are downloading fine for me. They are stored in Dropbox and when I click on the link from my computer (windows 8), it automatically downloads them and asks me what program I’d like to open them with. I choose Silhouette Studio as they are Silhouette Studio Files.

    Do you have Silhouette Studio? – The Files are Studio Files – that is the format all my files are in as that is the software program that comes with the Silhouette Cameo cutting machine and is what I use.

    If you still have trouble and you do have Silhouette Studio – leave another comment and I’ll email you the files. Let me know if you have V2 or V3 of the software.
