This week’s shape challenge over on the Silhouette Blog is to create a project using any font on our computers.

I had a matte gold Gift box to up cycle and I decided to use texture instead of colour for interest.
In the Silhouette software, I typed out the name and and created an offset around it.
I sized them together to fit the box lid and then separated the name letters from the offset which I welded to form a one piece background.
For a subtle colour contrast I cut the background from the reverse of the Kraft Card and the Name letters from the front of the card. I rubbed distressing ink around the edges of the top letters to make them stand out a bit more.
I joined all the bits together and made the border the same way.

Might make her a matching card now….
