Ever since I started my “Free File Friday” feature I have been trying to get ahead by getting the blog post finished in advance and then Scheduling it to post on the Friday morning – usually at a time when I’m still snuggled up in bed.
It never works!! So, when I arise I check the blog, curse to myself and then publish the post manually instead.
This is what I do:
- Choose Schedule from the right hand side bar.
- Set the date and time I desire
- Click on the “Done” Tab
I’ve followed this routine for 12 weeks now with a 100% fail rate, so thought it was time for a troubleshooting Google search!
The solution was at my finger tips – just one more step to success!
- Click on the Publish Tab
Seems so obvious really doesn’t it? But I, and an awful lot of people like me (I don’t feel so silly now) assumed that clicking the Publish Tab would publish the post immediately and thought that the previous 3 steps were all that was needed.
I feel so excited – like I’ve just been let in on a big secret! (Yes, I know – it’s sad isn’t it – if this is the sort of thing I get excited about )
If you are reading this post now – it’s means…….problem solved! Yay!
How sweet of you to share your files with us. I’ll definitely be using some of them, I’m sure. I especially really like those little tags. And congratulations on figuring out your problem with scheduling posts. I think you’d be surprised to find how many others have the same problem. They’re afraid to hit Publish, thinking it would publish right away. It works the same in WordPress. I’m sure many will find your tip helpful. If all else fails, just Google it, right? That’s my motto! Thanks for stopping by earlier. Have a great day!
