I went to a Baby Shower this week. It was such fun and I can’t wait to meet the new arrival when the time comes.
As the parents-to-be have opted not to find out their Baby’s gender until the Birth, it was out with pink and blue and in with gender neutral yellow and green.
I used my new Silhouette sketch pens to draw the Faux Stitching around the white card. I offset the onesie shape and re cut it in a yellow cardstock to line the card and form the yellow border . “Baby” is cut from the same yellow cardstock.

Then I added the Koala. Now, before I go any further, I must credit Shelly at Popsicle Toes for the idea of teaming the Koala with the onesie card. Given that I live in the land of Koalas I thought it would be a perfect addition to my card too. Shelly made her card way back in 2011 which just goes to show that good ideas don’t date!
For my card I converted the Koala into a Print and Cut design instead of using it as a straight out cut file. I added a little Maple Leaf as a heads up to the Dad-to-be who is originally from Canada. Last step was to make a matching gift tag and wrap it all up!

Cut Patterns I Used.
