Shhh….Baby’s sleeping! The UK has been celebrating the birth of the new Royal Prince recently and with all the coverage in the media, it’s hard not to be thinking about babies.
I designed this cut file for a Nursery door hanger – it’s reversible: on one side it says “Baby’s Asleep” and on the reverse it says “Baby’s Awake”. Just glue the two overlay pieces onto either side of a centre piece of card in a contrasting colour. Then add the wavy “Ring reinforcer” over the top around the hole.
It will slip easily over a lever style door handle (below). It has a slit in it so it will also fit over a round door knob (as in the very top pic) – but it does have to be put on carefully so the card doesn’t get bent.
It fits a few different round door knobs in my house but it may be worth cutting out a test sample of the middle section first in scrap paper or card just to make sure it will fit your particular door knobs. Then you can make any adjustments if needed before you cut the outer panels. If you have lever style handles you could delete the slit if you wanted.
