I made this border design a while ago and just found it buried in my files.
I was fairly new to the software at the time and this design evolved when I was experimenting with the “Make a polygon” tool which is over on the left side of the software screen just below the “Make an ellipse” tool.
It’s a really handy tool and makes great triangles and other geometric shapes… like….well….polygons!Β I use it most when I’m making custom envelopes in non standard sizes.
For the cut, I used regular copy paper and I copied & pasted the design to fill up the page. When cut, join the pieces to make a longer length of lace. Line two pieces up, overlap them, taking care to match up the holes and glue them together. You can cut up to 6 lengths from a single sheet of paper which will make approx 150 cm of Lace.
I prettied up some packages with my lace but it could be used to decorate scrapbook pages, craft projects or even as a decorative shelf edge.
Here’s the file ……with the matching gift tag too!
