Why Celtic? Well, that’s because my little owl’s eyes are a Celtic pattern. The round motif I used in my owl design is from the book, Celtic Vector Motifs which is a Dover publication. I’ve got a couple of the Dover Collection Books of royalty free designs. They’re very handy if like me you are not much good at freehand drawing. They’re great starting points for designs.I’ve made the owl into a regular cut file and also added a version as a print and cut. If you want to change the colours, just ungroup the owl and colour in the individual parts of the design with the fill bucket in whatever colours you like. When you’ve finished Group everything together again.

I’ve used the same round Celtic motif as part of next week’s free file too. It’s not an owl though – in fact it’s completely different, so I hope you’ll check back then to take a look!
Here’s the Silhouette Studio Cut File.
