I don’t know about anyone else but just when I should be planning for Christmas I’m sidetracked thinking about a few December Birthdays. Friends & Family have Birthdays on the 12th, 13th 16th, and the 24th! Hope I haven’t forgotten anyone!
So I’ve turned my attention to Birthday cards this week. This week’s Free File is a Birthday card with a straight- to- the-point message: “Have a Good One”. Of course, I hope that they all do! For good measure I’ve thrown in a co-ordinating folder for a Gift Voucher.
I was going for a Masculine look, so I’ve cut my card from Kraft and Black cardstock and trimmed it with Black and White Butcher’s Twine. You could use ribbon or a strip of contrasting patterned paper instead of the twine.
There’s plenty of blank space for your message, either above or below the giftcard.
Before you cut the folder – double check the size of your giftcard. Mine was 8.5cm x 5.5 cm Gift Card. That seems to be the standard size here in Australia but I’m not sure of other countries. You may need to make an adjustment if your card is a different size.
I tied the folder with a twine bow but a contrasting Belly Band of paper or ribbon would look good too and keep it closed. 🙂
Here’s the Free Silhouette Studio Cut File.
I’ve got a couple of Christmas Cards lined up for my next couple of posts so I hope you check back.
Thanks so much for sharing this file and others. I just got my Silhouette for Christmas, and I used your file to make my very first project–a birthday card for my brother-in-law. I used kraft and black/white twine like you did and added a touch of red (he’s a UGA and Falcons fan). Great masculine card! I’m like a kid in a candy shop on your blog. I love everything!
Thanks Cheryl – your comments made my day 🙂 The red touches on the card sound great. Bet they gave it a real “lift” . Have fun with your Cameo.
Thank you so much for sharing your great template.
