This will be my last post before Christmas, so I want to Thank you for reading my blog and a special Thank you to my Subscribers.
I’m pretty happy with this square cone design. I’m sure it’s a busy time of the year for you, so this is a nice quick, last minute project! I made this small grouping of “Christmas Trees” in different sizes as part of my Christmas decorations, and as I was test cutting the cone, it occured to me that it was a handy shape for other things too.
It would make a rather cool place name holder for the table. For Christmas you could write the name on a star and attach it to the cone. For other occasions a little name banner flying from the top would work too. I can’t use it for that as we’re planning to be eating outside on the patio (if it’s not too hot) and the breeze will blow the cones over. So, the three I’ve made will be decorating a side table inside – I’m using them as votives with a battery operated Tealight inside.
The cones can also be turned upside down: attach a ribbon (or other) hanger and transform it into a Christmas tree ornament or a little container for party favours or treats.
Any other ideas? What would you use it for? Do let me know in the comments….
The file has options: with or without the cut out holes. Or, with or without the perforated fold lines, in case you’d prefer to emboss the fold lines yourself. And of course you can change the sizes depending on what size cardstock you’re using.

I design the Cutting Files that I offer on this blog with the Silhouette Studio Software that is for use with the Silhouette Brand of Cutting Machines, which is the machine I use. The files are saved in Silhouette’s native format.
