Life begins at 40! Well, that’s how the old saying goes anyway. Back to Birthday Cards this week and this free file is a Fortieth Birthday Card.
My sample is quite masculine with the black and white Baker’s Twine and the Kraft & Black Colour Combo, but I needed a “masculine” card when I made this.
I’d love to see this in more feminine colours or patterns but don’t know any ladies turning forty at the moment to make it for! I can visualise the butcher’s twine being replaced with ribbon or patterned paper, so if you make this card & pretty it up, then be sure to send me a link.
Alas, I will never see 40 again 😉
Here’s the free Silhouette Cutting File 🙂
Alas, I will never see 40 again, either! (Thanks for reminding me, [smile])! Actually, my oldest daughter will be turning 40 next year—ABSOLUTELY unbelievable! Anyway, thank you for the card file! I may be using this in a feminine form for her. Many thanks for all of your freebies!
Thanks Phyllis, if we could just turn back time (as the song goes!) No not really – Ha Ha!
Meant to add – I’d love to see it in a feminine version – I kinda always lean towards the kraft, black, white & red colourways! Must try and break out a bit!
My childhood best friend is turning 40 next week. I’m still wracking my brain on what to give her as a gift, but whatever I decide, this will be perfect as the card.
Thank you!
I hope you get the gift ideas sorted 🙂 Glad I could help with the card though.
I love the design! I don’t think the colors are masculine – they remind me of the chalkboard art trend that’s popular these days.
Thanks Lisa, I’m pleased you said that – he he!
