When I mentioned in my last post that I may not post files every Friday, I didn’t realise it would be a whole month before I’d get a chance to get back here!
Life has been a little hectic, but I hope to find some website and crafting time now. Thanks to all my new subscribers (since my last post) and of course to my old one’s for sticking around in my absence 🙂
I showed off this card last year, before our Australian Father’s Day (which is the first Sunday in September) but didn’t share the cutting file then, so that’s what I’m doing today.
I made a second Print & cut banner and placed it on the inside – I positioned it inside – exactly behind the banner on the front of the card, so it wouldn’t show when the card is closed.
Alternatively you could ungroup the layer of the design that is cut from white card and delete the two cut out sections between the letters – This will make a solid card base. That way you could add any message you like and the cut outs won’t get in the way.
It’s just in time for those celebrating Father’s Day in June……or use it as a Dad Birthday Card any time of the year!
Here’s The “World’s Best Dad Card” Silhouette Studio File
I’ve got another “Dad” card file to share next week too – so check back.
And a big shout out to both my Dad & Mum who’ve both had recent hospital stays and operations but thankfully are both at home now and on the road to recovery 🙂

Thank you again! (I’m one of the “old ones,” I think) 🙂 Love the Dad card, although I have not had a dad for many years. My husband should like it, if I can come up with an appropriate sentiment for him as the father of our daughters… Thank you again for doing these files! I know how busy and crowded life and schedules become… My best wishes for your parents. I hope they continue to heal and make good progress!
Thanks Phyllis – love that you’ve been around here for a while, Hope you can use the file. Thanks too for your wishes for my parents. 🙂
Thank you. So kind of you to share this. I have just purchased the Cameo cutter and struggling to learn to use it. Am hoping I can make this card. Looking forward to seeing your other dad card. I wish you and your parents well.
I’ve had my Silhouette portrait since January. There is definitely a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll love it. This blog is fantastic! Pam’s cut files are great. Two other blog resources I’ve found very helpful are Silhouette School and Clever Someday (her YouTube videos are so helpful). Good luck and happy cutting!
Thanks for the praise Cheryl – I’m blushing 😉
Thanks for visiting Pennie. enjoy your Cameo – it won’t take long before your an expert!
I agree with Cheryl the other sites she mentioned are a mine of information!
thanks for your kind thoughts for my Mum & Dad.
Welcome back! You were missed. Glad to hear things are looking up for your parents. The card is cute! Thanks so much for sharing.
thanks so much Cheryl for your kind words about my site and for your wishes for my parents. It’s so nice. To be blogging again:)
Thank you for the cutting file. I’ve been estranged from my Dad and have been looking for an appropriate card to make to send him for Father’s Day. I think this will be perfect.
Thanks J – my pleasure.. So nice that you are reaching out to your Dad with the card 🙂
