This file is perfect for Valentines, Weddings or Anniversary projects. I made a cute silver glitter decal for Valentines Day and decorated a little “milk bottle” with it.
I also tested the design in card stock making a gift tag and a Valentines card.
The contact I used for the decal was actually a glittery book covering material – it’s “Back to School” time here in Australia.Β It cut perfectly so next I made the gift tag from cardstock – this wasn’t as successful: some of the thinner joins between the letter ripped completely in the card stock, hard to tell in the pic but the Top of the L ripped, and the o, v, and e although welded, came apart completely when cutting. Aha! I knew there was a good reason I test cut my designs π
So, back to the drawing board and I revised the design to make the skinny bits a little thicker. I test cut the card using the same type of card stock and the cut was pretty good this time………but I should have quit while I was ahead, because then I textured the card and gave my little cupids measles – they’re looking a little spotty now. LOL!

Good morning,
I just love all of your cutting files. I cant design anything myself and this comes in soooo handy.
If I may, and how do I do it, put a link on my website to your blog? My website is pretty new and not
much there yet. I wish to offer my friends something from your site.
Much appreciated.
Joan
Hi Joan,
Thanks for your kind words.
Your site has beautiful work on it. To add my link you need to use the icon in the text editor that looks like a chain link. Other wise see if this works : just copy and paste he HTML below into your page when you are in editing mode. I’m familiar with WordPress but I’m not familiar with other web templates if you’re using something different. Good Luck!

So glad you found my site Nike. Thanks for your kind words.
I am new to the Silhouette Cameo and want very much to make this Valentine card, but I don’t know where to begin. Would you be so kind as to tell me which of the files contained therein to print and cut the red heart w/cupids.Thanks ever so much.
Hi Pennie,
If your Cameo is new and you have the recent Silhouette software choose the V3 file and open it in your Silhouette Studio Software.
This card isn’t a Print and Cut Design it’s a regular cut. There was no printing involved π That means you you use different colours of materials to get the look I have in the pictured card.
I cut the main card from white card stock and the contrasting heart shape from red card stock.. Then simply adhered the red heart behind the cupids. If you are cutting the card from white, simply drag the other shapes off the mat. Then when cutting the heart from red drag the card shape out of the way.
Hand write or stamp a sentiment inside and add more decoration as desired. I used an embossing folder to add texture and a red ribbon.
Hope that helps.
Cheers
Pam
Pam, thank you so very much for your “how to.” That’s exactly how I want to make it. I’ll give it another go.
Have a great day!
