I’ve seen a lot of pineapples around lately and not just in fruit bowls!Β They seem to be everywhere: made into ceramics, on prints, in frames, decorating cushions and even tea towels.
Well, I’ll buy into the trend and jump on the Tropical pineapple bandwagon too! I’ve got a stylized Pineapple Cutting file for you today.
I’ve cut it out of a patterned paper, backed it with yellow card stock and popped it in an 8 x 10″ frame. Here’s a close up of the paper I used but any plain or small print paper would work too.
This file would make a terrific stencil, to paint up all those wood projects, or why not decorate fabric with HTV.
And to show you how versatile this file is, (he he) I also made a simple print out with the file. I copied and pasted until I had 4 pineapples, then aligned them all, changed all the line colours to gray, and filled each pineapple with a different colour.Β I printed it out on glossy photo paper and made this cool print.
What would you decorate with a Pineapple?

Hi Pam,
Love these Silhouette projects you have! I’ve pinned a few and appreciate the cut files. I’m new to using my Portrait, I’ve only had it for a little while, but there’s so many things to make, I need to get started. Thanks for the inspiration π
