I’ve got some decorative elements to share today, all with a Summer Theme especially for my Northern hemisphere friends. For those of us in the Southern hemisphere ….well Summer has passed and we can but dream of next summer as we settle into winter.
As you know I usually test cut the files before I publish them but time has got the better of me this week and I haven’t had a chance. I’ll pop back into this post and update with a photo or two when I get a chance to try them out.
I thought these would make great scrap booking elements, or perhaps they could adorn a Party invitation or Gift wrap. I think it would cut from HTV quite well too, to pop on a bib or T Shirt.
The Options
When I designed these, I had Scrapbook Elements in mind but now I’ve looked at them again, I notice that parts of the white letters are pretty thin. They may not cut out so well in Card stock. However, with a nice sharp blade your cutting machine may pleasantly surprise you. Alternatively you could cut the coloured background from Card Stock and cut the words from vinyl and layer them together.
Another option, is to add some registration marks and make these into a print and cut File instead. Remember to adjust the lines of the words to “no cut” if you do this.
