The very first file I shared on my blog was back in 2013 when I shared a cutting File for an insert for an I phone 4S cover
Well, a few years down the track and I’ve got an I phone 6S now. I like the bigger screen because my eyes are a few years older too! The phone is nice gold colour which I’ve been happy to look at through it’s clear case since I got it but now I’m ready for a change.
In February we headed off down south for a fortnight. The coastline was stunning at the bottom edge of our state (Western Australia) overlooking the Southern Ocean and I got a bit snap happy. The water was beautiful – lovely aqua and deep blues against white sands in interesting bays. So I’ve used one of my photos to pop in my phone case to remind me of it.
For a completely different look, I made a spare insert in scrapbook paper using regular cut settings, just for a variation if I felt like a change.
Options
- Use the print and Cut Settings to cut out photos etc. Turn on registration marks, import the picture (Jpeg), place it behind your cut lines and Print and cut as usual
- Add text to your print and cut design if desired – I’ve added the word Calm over my photo.
- Use as a regular cut file and cut from patterned paper.
- I’ve also included a cut file for the I Phone 6 – although I haven’t tested it as I don’t have that phone – If you use the file double check it by cutting it from copy paper first as the cut file may need a few tweaks around the lens and light area.
The Files
You may wish to use your own photo but I’ve included my ocean scene as an extra option too.
