I’ll wash….you dry

Have you been caught out so far this April’s Fool Day?  I haven’t……so far!

Today I’m sharing a file I made to decorate an upcycled container with some Gold Vinyl, to hold our dish washing liquid.  Our dishwasher broke down quite some time ago and the under bench space is too small for the replacement! It was always a tight fit …Long story but we do the dishes by hand now….and that’s no joke!

My dish soap now sits decoratively by the sink waiting for me to do the dishes – no more hiding it in the cupboard.

Options

I used the phrase “I’ll Wash…You Dry”.

I also reversed the words to make the phrase “You Wash… I’ll Dry” as I thought that would be fun on a Tea Towel and make a nice set.  Unfortunately when I tried it on a lovely Egyptian Cotton tea towel,  it was an partial Craft Fail with only 2/3rds of  the phrase transferring nicely. I think I had too much heat.

But in the interests of authenticity – this is what it really looked like…..now that I’m looking at it close up I can see I’ve slightly scorched the fabric too ….or maybe it’s my shadow!  (don’t pin this one Ha Ha!)
