Here’s a lovely set of 4 vintage style frames and decorative elements. These would be perfect as monograms but they could also be used as labels, tags, overlays on Cards, on Garments or Fabric or anything else you can dream up for these versatile shapes.
I didn’t do any of these clever things, instead I cut my Test samples from Gold Vinyl and popped them on some plain brown glass bottles to pretty them up a bit. Oh and only 3 are showing here as I messed the other one up while transferring it to the bottle. It cut fine though 🙂

I’m a big fan of dingbat fonts and the starting point for this design is the letter “F” from the Vintage Decorative Signs 7 Font. I didn’t use the letter as it was. You could just use that yourself without needing me to give you the file! So, I just took the small Lily shape that is a small portion of the design and ran with that, manipulating, rotating and replicating and adding to it, to come up with something completely new.
Having said that it was a great design as it was and many of these decorative dingbat font letters work well as cut files without any or with only minimal tweaking. Well worth taking a look at it. Yay, and it’s free font too 🙂

You are most Welcome Ginette 🙂
Thank you for sharing. You are super talented, and it sounds like you have so much fun creating. I am envious. I have had my Silhouette for over 2 years and have only used it once, and it was a FAIL. lol. I’m saving all your cut files, tho, for the day I get brave and learn how.
Thanks for your kind words Patti.
I hope you get brave soon and use the Silhouette. I started off with card stock and had a few fails at first too. I’d recommend trying a simple vinyl project first. Vinyl seems easier to me. I just use the default cut settings the machine has.
Good Luck!
