I made this Print and Cut File above, so that I could make some ready made sentiments to use with Birthday Cards. I hope you’ll find them useful too!
The Options
There’s a few ways to use the file. First way, is to use a sentiment as the message inside a card. Choose the sentiment you like and Copy and paste it in position within a new blank card cutting file. Change the size, line colour and fill colour as desired. Here’s some of my Card Files that it would work with. Treat it as a Print and cut File. When it’s cut and folded the sentiment will be printed on the inside of the card ready to decorate the front of the card however you like.
Here’s one ready to go :
Second option is to surround the sentiment with a shape, it could be a simple one, maybe a rectangle or circle or use a more ornate frame from your library. When combined with a frame from my library, I can print and cut this and use it as a decorative element for the front of the card, or a gift tag or even pop it on stick and use as a cupcake topper.
Here’s some ideas, although what you can create will depend on the existing files in your library.
And finally you may wish to use the Sentiments as regular cut files. Just adjust the cut settings.
Credit Where Credit’s Due
I used some lovely font resources for these files. The fonts I used are written under each sentiment.
I haven’t tried all the sentiments yet but I did make a card using one of them – Here’s the front where I teamed it up with a frame from my Silhouette Library
and here’s a view showing the printing on the inside too.
