This is the first in a series of posts that I’ll be publishing each Tuesday with Tips, Tricks, Tutorials or Resources that will make your paper crafting and Silhouette life easier.
Today I’m sharing a resource that I’ve been using for a while and it’s fabulous. Have you ever needed paper for a project and there’s nothing suitable in your stash? This scrapbook paper generator will come to the rescue.
Spacefem’s free digital paper generator has been serving the patterned paper deprived since 2012. Currently there are 68 public domain images that can be created in multiple colours.
How it works
Head over here. It will look like this…
Simply add a hex colour value in the box or select from any of the preset colour choices. I typed the colour 92A8D1 in the box which is one of the Pantone Colours of 2016.
Click “go” and a new screen will open, the pattern selection window. Click on a tile to select from a choice of over 60 public domain patterns. It’ll look similar to this…
Now, select a pattern. I chose a cool paisley pattern which comes up on the next screen.
Complete the size of the image you want and there’s a last chance to change out the colours if you like too!
A new screen will show with your completed pattern and then it’s a simple matter of Right Clicking on the seamlessly tiled image and saving it to your computer to use however you want. Print out as it is, or open it in Silhouette Studio to use in print and cut projects.
I’m sure you’ll find this as useful as I have. Enjoy!
What an amazing site! All those wonderful patterns. I’m looking forward to see what else you will share on Tuesdays!

Brilliant – thank you for sharing, now I will never get the housework done!
Ha Ha Sandra. I know exactly what you mean. I played with it for hours!
What a fabulous tip! I hope I remember it when I need it! TFS!
My pleasure Kren. Ha Ha – maybe pin it – then you’ll only have to remember which board you pinned it to! LOL
