I’m sharing a set of four, lovely Celtic Inspired Designs today. I’ve got a Dover Book of Celtic Designs (below) that has inspired these patterns, which can be cut cut from Card Stock, Vinyl or HTV. You could use the files as stencils too! If you’d like to use them as overlays or stencils then just pop a cutting line around each group of shapes.
The background design in the picture below is my inspiration. From that I’ve made a derivative design using a small portion of the knot design. I’ve created a new design by changing the position, adding bits and taking bits away and replicating and rotating it. I’ve also made split design versions because I know how popular split designs are for vinyl and monograms! My results are quite different from the original inspiration image, which was my intent 🙂
The book has also inspired other designs with a Celtic Feel. See my previous post here for some backgrounds/overlays and here for a cute Celtic owl.
