Since the new V4 version of Silhouette Studio came out many users are looking at the program options available. It’s hard to know what features are available in each edition of the program these days.
There are four editions of the software. A Basic Edition which is free to download for all users. This in itself is a very good graphics program and I used it for about 12 months before the lure of a few extra designer options enticed me to upgrade to the Designer Edition which was perfect for my needs until recently. The Third version is the Designer Edition Plus, and the Final Version of the software is the Business Edition which I recently upgraded to.
If you are thinking of upgrading but are unsure about the features available, Silhouette have made it easy for you to compare what is in each Edition of the Software with this handy chart, so you can clearly see what you are getting for your money.
Not only that, but you may notice from my image above that there are little Video icons next to each Feature. Click on those to go to a video with a brief overview of each feature. It’s a great resource!
If you haven’t discovered it already – take a look!
(no affiliation with Silhouette America – I just found this useful and hope you do too!)
Thanks needed that comparison! I didn’t just want to upgrade bc their was a new one! LOL!

That was helpful – thanks for locating and sharing = I FINALLY took the plunge and installed the newest 4.0 Version – somewhat of a learning curve – once in awhile I say to self “Now where is that icon”? It is working and I am testing to see now if it will indeed KEEP all of my SVG files intact – and not just Silhouette purchased files – hopefully it will keep working well for me. Thanks for sharing!
