If you’re like me and make your own Christmas Cards, the chances are you’ve started already or are thinking about it!
Today I’m sharing a Christmas Star Card. It’s a Gatefold Style card which mean it opens in the middle! It has an attached split star which folds back on itself.
On to decorating the card base. The front panels are included in the cut file too. I like my cards clean and simple, so my sample card reflects that. I used Gold Foil Cardstock for the panels which I embossed and adhered to the white base. I added two die cut Silver houses made with metal dies and two extra stars and finished off the centre star with vinyl, which I’ve used before here.
Inside I used the sentiment “Merry Christmas, from our House to Yours”. I printed the sentiment on copy paper with the laser printer, cut it to size to fit the card and ran it through the laminator with gold reactive foil, then secured it to the card with one thin strip of Double sided tape at the top. There’s a tute on the reactive gold foil here if it’s something that interest you.

Here’s the Silhouette and SVG Cutting Files for the Star Gatefold Cardbase.

I’ve already shared a tutorial on making Gatefold Cards – you can find it here if you’d like to try them out with other shapes.
I’ve also shared 2 ready to cut Gatefold cut files here (hearts) and here (a Bow) if you’re looking for variations.
