Have you just updated to Silhouette Version 4 only to be greeted by a pop up each time you open Silhouette Studio V4? A reader asked me the other week if I had found a way of removing it. At the time I wasn’t getting the pop up so I wasn’t sure how to help.
Later on, I reset my software to the Factory Defaults (for an unrelated reason) and the next time (and the next time and the next time!) I opened the program, Lo & Behold, I was getting the Introduction pop up again and again.
This doesn’t Work
My first reaction was to click the little x in the top right of the pop up, it closes it down fine and you can get on with designing or cutting or whatever. But be warned, once you’ve closed the program – next time you reopen it, it’ll be back!
This Does Work
The solution is pretty simple to remove it permanently……Read It! Yes, Silhouette just wants to deliver their message, so click through all the little screens until you get to the end one that thanks you for reviewing the changes. Then Resist the temptation to click that little x in the Top Right Corner to close the pop up. Instead, Ignore that x and click the blue button that says “Get Started”. It’ll close the pop up and take you to the Design screen. The beauty is…..next time you reopen the program, that little pop up box won’t appear.
It’s Still there if you want it.
Head up to the help Menu and click on the 2nd option from the top – Introduction – and you can revisit it any time you like.
